CHÂTEAU GRAGNOS
Alain & Patricia Limauge
nom
This estate in the heart of the Saint-Chinian appellation represents just over 80 hectares, of which 17 are planted with vines. The grape varieties grown at Château de Gragnos are those typically used to make fine Languedoc wines, namely Syrah, Grenache and Carignan, as well as Merlot, Viognier and Muscat. Planted on clay-limestone soils facing south or south-west, the vineyard benefits from its own microclimate, thanks to which the grapes ripen slowly and steadily, with full expression of their terroir. The vines' age ranges from 10 to 70 years.
